SUNSPOTS
The Hector Observatory report® that a fairly active sunspot group is at present visible near the centre of the sun’s disc. Tho group made its appearance about Tuesday last, and is well placed for observation at present. The position of the largest spot in the group, determined on October 25th, was lat. odeg Omin, long. 98deg Omin. Another small spot is to lie seen in the sun’s eastern hemisphere, but this is not a new one.
