The Bank of New Zealand, produce department, has received the following advice from its Londbn office under date 19th instant:— “Butter.—Depressed. 190 s to 192 s per cwt. “Cheese.—Slow at the advance. Coloured, Il4s to 116 s per cwt; white, 112 s to 114® per cwt. Frozen meat.—There is little demand for wethers and the market is dull. EHves are firm and moderate business has 'been done. Lambs are steady. There is a better tone prevailing in the beef market : —Wethers, light 7£d to Bkl per lb, heavy 6}dl to 7|d; ewes, s|d to 6*d; lambs. lOd to lid, seconds Did to 10|d; ox, hinds 4id to 4?d, fores 23d to 3d; cow, hinds 3Jvl to 4*icl, fores 2id to 23d/* DAIRY PRODUCE. The National Dairy Association of New Zealand, Ltd., have received the following cable from their London office, dated October 19th: Butter.—Market slow. New Zealand malted 190 s to 1925; New Zealand, united 2045; Australian, salted 18-4® to 188 s; Canadian, 182 s to 186 s; Argentine, 158 s to 380 s; Danish, 200 s to 2045; Dutch, 174 s to 1965. Cheese.—Market quiet. New Zealand, white 112 s to New Zealand, coloured 114 s to 116 s; Canadian, same price. WHEAT STEADY. icstraliaa and N.Z Cable Association. (Received October 23, 5.5 p.m/ LONDON, October 22. Wheat cargoes are steadily held, but the adverse exchange prevents expansion of the Continental demand. The market for parcels is firm, with prices 3d higher. December parcels of Australian sold at 455, and January and February parcels at 44s 9d. BRADFORD QUIET (Received October 23. 8.15 p.m.) LONDON, October 22 At Bradford the market for merinos is stagnant. There is a small inquiry for crossbreds, but business is quiet, awaiting the London opening.
