The following cases of infectious disease were notified in the Wellington health district during the week ending October 23rd. The corresponding figures for the previous week are given in parentheses:— Scarlet fever, 5 .-(2) —Palmerston North. 1; Wellington, 3; Wairarapa, 1 Diphtheria, 7 (3) —Palmerston North, 1; Wellington, 5; Nelson, 1. Tuberculosis. 4 (2) Palmerston North, 2; Wellington. 2. Pneumonia, 2 (0) Palmerston North, 1; Wellington, 1. Erysipelas, 1 (0) —Wellington. Puerperal septicaemia. 0 (1). Food poisoning (notified, but not infectious), 0 (6).
