DECLARATION OF WEIGHTS. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, October 23. The following weights have been declared for the first day of the Auckland Racing Club’s spring meeting:— GORDON HANDICAP, Of 400 sovs; five furlongs.

Backwood, G-raculus, and Mokenbe galloped 10 furlongs in 2min ldisec, the last nine in 2min 3sec. Yacamunda ran five furlongs on the grass in lmin 6|sec;an<l Ccmique 12 furlongs on the. grass in 2min 43sec. Note went better than Boyal Koue over nine furlongs in 2min ssec. Fred Power beat Prince Hugo over 10 furlongs in 2min 15Jsec. Heir Apparent and Cadorus galloped a mile in lmin 47sec, and Hayhole a mile in lmin 474 sec. Rivoli and Comptroller beat Tentcourt over nine furlongs in lmin 50isec. Duke Isinglass ran seTen furlongs in lmin 33isec, and Shrapnel and Even Song nine furlongs in 2min OJsec. Mirthinaker covered 11 furlonga in 2min 38sec, and Bitalli three furlongs in 39isec. King lngoda, Useful, and l’aratoo went a mile in lmin 56sec at Caulfield; on the grass, Silver Olive just beat Stare and David over 11 furlongs in 2min 26sec, doing the first mile in lmin 46Jsec. Penshurst and Drongo ran 10 furlongs on the grass in 2min Ufsee. The Cypher strode over six furlongs. Tho Epicure (J. Toohey) ran a mile on the sand in lmin 54sec. Harvest King covered nine furlongs in 2miu lscc, and Whittier nine furlongs in 2min aisec. Frances Tressady (F.
