For ©omo time past the Morrinsville School Committee has been endeavouring to get a manual training school established at Morrinsvillo. At its last meeting a letter was received from the supervisor of the Education Board, Mr J. P. Kalaugher, stating “that in view of the applications before the department of a more urgent nature, and the limited funds remaining at tho department’s disposal for the present financial year, the proposal to build and equip a manual training school at Morrinsville must bo postponed for tho present.” It was decided by the committee to ask committees of the neighbouring schools to take part in a deputation to wait on the Minister for Education on his next visit to the district, early in November.
During tho Wanganui competitions, after the duncing had concluded, Miss Bovlley, the adjudicator, speaking of Mias Phyllis Oliver, of Wellington, said she had given a very charming perform unco. Her foot work and point work wore very good for a child, and what was more she possesised that priceless a-swot to a dancer, personality. Siho should develop into a good dancer.
