PEKING DISPUTE
MANDATES ISSUED IN ERROR. DIPLOMATS SATISFIED. Renter’s Telegram. PEKIN, October 19. The incident of the promotion of the tuetrun, Tien C/hung Vu. is officially reported to have been settled. The Chinese state that the mandate promoting Tien Chung Yu should have been issued first, and then the mandate accepting his resignation; but the printing office issued them in the w-rong order. A Presidential mandate Mias been issued reversing the mandates. The diplomats have acoepted these explanations.
