EXPORT FRUIT
COMMITTEE APPOINTED. DISPOSAL OF SURPLUS. As a result of discussions between the New Zealand Fruitgrowers’ Federation und the Department of Agriculture in regard to proposals to enable the fruitgrowers of the Dominion' to better regulate the disposal of their exportable surplus of fruit in overseas markets, a oommittee consisting of representatives of the growers in the several exporting districts has been set up for the purpose of supervising export arrangements and conferring with the department as to the conditions of the guarantee on export fruit during the coming season. This committee will generally endeavour to co-ordinate all interests concerned in the export of fruit with a view to bringing about stable and good marketing conditions for the future. The commitee consists of Messrs A. M. Robertson (Hawke’s Bay), T. C. Brash (Wellington), J. Allen (Nelson), Colonel Gray (Nelson), H. Turner (Otago), and will be known as the Fruit Export Advisory Committee, Auckland and Canterbury are not represented on this committee.
