STATUS OF BRICKLAYER,. INCOME ABOVE £360. By Telegraph.—Ptrs.< Assn.—Copyright. MELBOURNE, October 19. 'Judge Mauie, in the County Court, ruled that a bricklayer is not a workman under the Workmen’s Compensation Act, as according to the claim before the court for compensation for injuries received while at work, the plaintiff was earning £360 a year, which placed him beyond the scope of the Act. He dismissed the application.
