The Milan correspondent of “Th« Times” states that an inspired statement in “11 Secolo” announces that Signor Mussolini will insist on Italy being represented at the forthcoming Tangier Conference. She is entitled by justice and right to representation, and r.e hopes that Britain and Franco will avoid giving the Italians another delusion which would he a source of bitterness and resentment. It :s alleged that France is the principal opponent of Italian participation in the conference; Spain is indifferent, and England, after first favouring Italy, is now wavering. Signor Mussolini will do his hopt, knowing that Italy will not tolerate compromise where the national dignity is concerned.
