MR LLOYD GEORGE’S TRIBUTE. “ONE OF WORLD’S GREATEST.” Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received October 19, 9.30 p.m.) NEW YORK. October 18. At Springfield, Mr Lloyd George visited Abraham Lincoln’s old heme, and said Lincoln had been an inspiration to him since his boyhood. Later he stood bareheaded in the rain before Lincoln’s tomb and laid a wreath, inscribed: “To one of the world’s greatest men.” Mr Lloyd George departed for St. Louis, but ho will make no publio appearance there, as ho is anxious to conserve lus strength.
