RIFLE SHOOTING
SUBURBS DEFENCE CLUB. The first, shoot, in the initial competition of this season will take place at. Ticntham this afternoon. Ranges 306 and 600 yards; ten shots and a sighter at each distance. The two following shoots will count in tho first series competition. and will aho l>o the opening« shoots for the club’s championship. Last season tho winning of the club’s chain pior-ship was considerably enhanced by the valuable trophy presented to tho winner by Mr A. IT. Symonds, an enthusiastic supporter of the club. Mr Symonds has intimated his intention of recognising this year’s champion in a oiioilor manner.
