OCTOPUS CAUGHT ON ROD
A boy named Ronald Bale, while fishing on Hastings pier (England), landed an octopus with an ordinary rod and line. The fish struggled vigorously and was only brought to the deck of the pier after a prolonged struggle. When on the pier it caused much excitement by vigorously flapping its tentacles in all directions, and several times almost slipped baric into the sea. It was eventually killed.
