Whilst the United States of America has tho greatest number of motor-cars of any country in the world, its -,egisterod total being 12,239,000, France holds a similar position as regards bicycles. The latest official return of (licensed cycles in use in France slioivs that there are 5,362,474 machines in use. ■The increase in the past twelve months .was 516,760 over the preceding year.
