DUTY ON MOULDINGS

THREE GRADES. The duty on certain wooden mouldings 6Uitable for picture frames, cornices, ceilings, etc., has been fixed at ‘2O per cent, under the British preferential tariff, 30 per cent, under the intermediate tariff, and 35 per cent, under the general tariff, and in addition is liable to the primage duty of one per cent, ad valorem. These duties are announced in last night's “Gazette.'’
