MANAWATU SPRING SHOW

COMMENCES OCTOBER 30th. The above fixture is fast approach* ing, the dates set apart for the event being October 30th and 31st and November Ist, the days this year being Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. People's Day, the great day for the visiting public, is Thursday, though there will be many items of interest both in the ring and on the grounds on the'two first days. Entries have closed for schools, needlework, photography. and home industries, and the grand total for these sections is 2082, as against 2057 last year. The numbers for the live stock entries and ring events will not be available until the end of the week. Given fine weather, it is expected that the thirty-eighth grand metropolitan spring show held by the Manawatu and West Coast A. and P. Association, on the Palmerston North show grounds, will be a record. Visitors to the town will he well advised to secure their accommodation before show week, and in this matter the secretary is always willing to assist on the receipt of a note. Any information may be had from the secretary, Box So, Palmerston North.
