INTENT TO MURDER
ABORIGINE ON TRIAL. SEVEN OTHER CHARGES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright (Received October 16, 10.15 p.m.) SYDNEY, October 16. The trial of Rqy Governor has commenced at Dubbo. Evioenoe similar to that given in the lower court was entered upon. Governor, who is n aborigine, was committed for trial on a cliarge of shooting Sergeant Young, with intent to murder. Seven other charges against him include those of breaking and entering, and stealing. Governor got into trouble soon after being released from gaol, and for several weeks, hiding in the scrub country, he eluded the police and terrified the residents. He fired at Sergeant Young just before he was overcome.
