SOLDIERS’ LANDS
REVALUATION BOARD FINAL APPOINTMENTS MADE. The personnel of the Dominion Revaluation Board, constituted under the Discharged Soldiers’ Settlement Act, passed by Parliament Inst session, has now been made complete by the appointment of Mr John Gordon, a wellknown farmer of the Waikato, as a member of the board. The board now consists of Mr J. B. Thompson, Undersecretary for Lands (chairman); My F. W. Flanagan, Valuer-General; Mr R. A. Roger, farmer, of Tapanui; and Mr Gordon. In making the announcement yesterday on behalf of the Minister for Lands, the Hon. R, F. Bollard stated that the board, now that it had been fully set np, would commence to discharge tlie functions under the Act with as little delay as possible. Twentythree district devaluation committees had been set up, and forms of application for relief were issued to all soldier settlers some time ago. The work of scheduling applications and preparing the necessary data was boirig carried out expeditiously. It was expected that the district committees would commence their operations almost immediately.
