EX-MONARCH INSANE
FERDINAND’S STRANGE ACTS. “VAINLY SEEKING REPOSE.” Australian and N.Z. Cable Association (Received October 15, 7.40 p.m.) LONDON, October 15. The “Daily Express’’ correspondent at Munich says: “Fordinand of Bulgaria is not yet in an asylum. Like a modem flying Dutchman, he is frantically scouring the country between Coburg and Munich in a swift grey motor-car, vainly seeking repose for his mind, which is troubling him since his inglorious abdication. “Ferdinand on Thursday furtively arrived at a fashionable Munich hotel at the dead of night, as is his wont, accompanied by a single valet. Tho ex-King had hit* hat drawn over his eyes, and was shrouded in a long cloak, and only his valet and his chauffeur wore allowed to handle his luggage. He refused to use the lift, and continually glanced nervously over his shoulder. He always keeps the doors of his room locked, and takes his meals alone. He suffers from the hallucination that ho is being shadowed.”
