FOREIGN AFFAIRS INSTITUTE. MANSION IN LONDON. Renter’s Telegram. LONDON, October 14. It is understood that- the Prince of Wales has accepted the office of Visitor of the British Institute of International Affairs, and will accept a historic mansion presented to the British Empire by two Canadians, whose identity lias not been disclosed, as a ho pie for the institute. The mansion is situated at 10, St. James’s square, and was formerly the residence of 'the Earl of Chatham, Lord Derby, and Mr Gladstone. The institute was founded in 1919, and the membership is now about 800. It is open to all British subjects whs are serious students of foreign affairs. Its objects are research and discussion and the issue of publications! enabling public meu throughout the Empire to follow the course of foreign affairs. The institute is debarred from propaganda. In addition to the building, the donors have given £BOOO sterling as the nuclous of an endowment fund.
