A wedding bell at the marriage of Raquel Martinez, was the death lfiiell of her rejected lover, Vicente Ruiz When the 'bride entered the church, Ruiz climbed tho steeple, and making a noose in tho bell-rope, placed it lound his neck, and leaned over the rail to obtain a view of tho altar. When the priest raised his hands m blessing, Ruiz sprang, and the bell clanged as he dropped. He hung suspended at the end of the rope, and the congregation scattered in horror. The bride fainted when the body was carried out.
