OLYMPIC GAMES
CRICKETERS NOT INVITED. APATHY DISCLAIMED. The secretary of the Wellington Cricket Association, in response to a question from the chairman (Mr C. G. n ilson), declined to state that as far as he knew the Wellington Association had not received an invitation to send representatives to the Olympic games. “As your chairman, I can say that we were not,” haul Mr Wilson, “and I shouldn’t like it to go forth that we were 120 apathetic that we failed to take advantage of such an invitation.” Reference to the files of the association was made, and 110 letter can he found, though ono member was of opinion .hat two gentlemen had been appointed to meet the Olympic Council, hut had received no notice of any meeting.
