A decree, nigned by President Ebert, Herr Stresemann, and Herr Luther, provides that all taxes must in future lie paid according to the gold standard, instead of being assessed in paper marks, whirl) lose the value by the time the taxes are actually paid. Further decrees aiming at the recu-
peration of the country's finance© will he issued shortly, regardless of whether the Reichstag passes the Emergency Law or not.
