FARMERS APPROVE IT. MARKETING CONTROL WANTED. Per Press Association. •ANNEVIRKE, October 13. nr.* executive of the Southern Hawke’s Bay Provincial Farmers’ Union had before it yesterday the suggestion of the Dominion Executive relative to the formation of one big association for farmers of the Dominion with a Meat, Wool, and Dairy Board to control all exports, or any business connected with farmers’ exports. After discussion, during which the jnioposal generally was approved, it was decided on tno motion of Mr E. A. Ransom, M.P., “That in the opinion of this meeting it will be most advantageous to the farmers of tho Dominion to have one big fanners’ federation controlling the marketing of their export produce.” Tiio Meat Export Board’s scheme for advertising New Zealand lamb in England was approved, and it was decided* on Mr Ransom’s motion to recommend the board to insert in each parcel an attractive card, setting forth the advantages of New Zealand lamb and mutton.
