OBJECTIONABLE POSTER
FIGURE OF THE REDEEMER. BISHOP PUZZLED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Aarodatloa (Received October 12, 7.35 p.m.) LONDON, October 12. The London Bill Posters’ Association refused to placard a pester advertising the Willesden mission, and showing the figure of the Redeemer, with the words, “I will draw all men unto Me.” Bishop Willesden said he could not understand the banning of the poster. It was an artistic rendering of a Divine subject, approved by all the clergy in the diocese.
