LYALL BAY SCHOOL
ANOTHER BUILDING TAKEN. Owing to the increased number of children applying for admission to Lyall Bay Sohool, the Education Board has found it necessary to take over the Church of Christ, in Bay road, to supplement the accommodation. This new accommodation, with the Anglican Church hall, Freyberg street, cost the board £3 per week in rent, and it is felt that this sum would nearly repay principal and interest on the cost of erecting the additional classrooms which are required at the main school.
