MURDER PLOT
REVELATIONS IN PARIS. POLITICIANS THREATENED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. PARIS, February 2. In the inquiry into the death of Marius Plateau it was stated that a plot had! been discovered, whereby not only the murder of M. Daudet was planned, but that of M. Poincare and M. Lefevre (ex-Minister for War), who has been writing antonGerman newspaper articles. M. Lefevre says that a foreign organisation organised the plot. Marius Plateau, Royalist leader and editor of “Action Francaise,” was assassinated by Germaine Barthou, a woman Anarchist, in his own office. Reprisals followed on Socialist newspapers of Paris.
