CONTINUOUS TRAINING

TERRITORIALS AT FORT DORSET. FOURTH COURSE CONCLUDED. The fourth course of continuous training for Territorials of the. Fourth Battalion. Wellington Regiment, who have elected to fulfil their military obligations by serving seven days in a period instead of attending drill one night itch week, was concluded at Fort Dorset on Saturday afternoon, when a programme of tabloid athletics was carried out. The trainees, who number about fifty-three, have carried out their work well and, favoured by E°°d weather, great strides have been made towards efficiency. Each Territorial has completed his musketry course, practical and theoretical, and has had experience on the range with the Lewis gun. The aim or the authorities has been to attain a good aHround standard rather than a specific result, and trainees have passed through the hands of infantry, physical, and recreational training, bayonet fighting, musketry, and Lewis gun specialists. Captain A. B. Williams, D. 5.0., R.N.Z.A. is in charge of the camp, and associeiated with him am the following staff non-commissioned officers: Sergeant-Major C. Ritzema (physical and recreational training and bayonet fighting), Sergeant-Major J. Milrr.y (infantry training), Lieutenant J. Thompson and Sergeant-Major King (musketry), Sergeant-Major J. Corkill and Bombardier Chambers (Lewis gun). Throughout the course, Ser-geant-Major J. King has acted as R.S.M. and Sergeant-Major A. Collins as Camp Q.M.S. *■
