NEXT SATURDAY. A great deal of interest is being aroused in the War Materials Exhibition, whioh will be opened in the Drill Hall, Buckle street, on Saturday next. The exhibition has been arranged by a committee of Garrison officers headed by Lieutenant-Colonel R. St. J. Beere, D. 5.0., in aid of the funds of the Artillery and Ist Battalion Bands, and promises to prove a revelation in many respects. It is made up entirely of exhibits on loan from the Defence Department, which have been kept in store at Trentham until they are finally housed in the National War Museum. The exhibits will include (1) an example of every gun in New Zealand; (2) exhibit showing the evolution of the rifle from 1830 onwards; (3) shells and shell cases; (4) exhibit presented by Woolwich Arsenal showing sections of shell in every stage of construction; (5) Chinese Government exhibit • (6) Japanese Government exhibit: (7) United States Government exhibit; (8) Indian Government exhibit; (9) German war trophies captured by the New Zealand division (10) Turkish and Bedouin war material.
