ALLEGED DUEL WITH GUNS. BOTH MEN IN HOSPITAL. Per Press Association. MASTERTCKN, February 4. Two mem* Jametal Kenrjick, a half* caste drover employed ae a shepherd at Black Rock station, and Pakera Hasata, a native of 28 years, were "admitted to hospital this morning suffering from gunshot wounds. It is alleged that Haeata resented Kenrick’s. relations with his wife, who has been living with Kenrick for three months, and visited Black Rock, which is situated three miles from Masterton, at 2 o’clock this morning. It is alleged that as Kenrick was leaving to drive stock to Masterton, he was shot three times by Haeata with a shot gun. _ Kenrick then got his own gun and in defence wounded Haeata in the arm. The police and a doctor attended the men and brought them to hospital, where both are progressing fairly well.
