TiAKF. COLERIDGE PLANT. The Hon. J. G. Coates, Minister for Publio Works, had intended’ during his present visit to Canterbury to go to the Lake Coleridge power-station, but owing to the approaching session of Parliament the Minister found it impossible to do so. Asked by a reporter regarding the duplication of the original generating plant at Ixike Coleridge, Mr Coates said that he waa awaiting the decision of the Qinstchurch City Council in respect of the proposal to generate electricity from the Waimakariri before gping on with the duplication of the Lake Colendgo plant. The Minister understood that the 6ixtli (and final) generating unit at Lake Coleridge would be eoon ready to he put into commission.
