HIDE AND SKIN BALE
FIRST OF THE SEASON. LITTLE CHANGE IN VALUES. The first 'hide and skin sale of the season was held in the Auckland Chamber of Commerce this week, when the supply was normal. Hide* were rather dull, but there was little change in values. Best butchers’ beeiTy ox to 9d; mediums. 7td to 8d; light ox and cow, 5} to 6}<l; second quality, Id to lid lower. Calfskins. best to 14id; second quality, lid to 12Jd; cut and damaged bides, lid to Bid per lb. The skin market showed very little change prices being about the same as previous quotations.
