Turkish advices claim that the Turks have captured Eskishehr, the Greeks sustaining heavy losses, and having abandoned much equipment-. From Athens it fa reported that a British steamer was captured off Ismid laden with contraband. A Greek semi-official newspaper states that- the Government has approved of the opinion of the comman-der-in-chief in Asia Minor that the army there should, not embark upon new enterprises at the present moment. Several Parisian newspapers declare that the successes of the Kemalist forces will have considerable influence on the proposed Near East Conference. The “Action Francais” says the prodigious errors of Mr Llowd George and Lord Curzon in regard to Turkey and Greece are being paid for in blood. - TURKS PUSH ON EXPLOITING INITIAL SUCCESS, - . The Turks are pushing their advantages and troops are moving from Thrace to Marmora ports with the object of exploiting the initial sucoesses. Reports state that Afium Kara Hissar caught (ire during the bombardment, and was almost entirely destroyed.
