STORM IN FRANCE
VINEYARD 3 AND PLANTATIONS RUINED. Reuter’s Teletrram. (Received September 2, 12.45 a.m.) PARIS, August 31. Wind and storm, accompanied by extraordinarily heavy hail, devastated the vineyards in many districts of eouth and middle France. The hail in some places was two and a half feet deep. Many tobacco plantations were ruined. The swollen rivers in Savoy swept away bridges and dykes.
