CITY MILK SUPPLY
EXTENSION TQ SEATOUN. PETITION OF PROTEST “ Milk vendors in the Miramar .’and Seatoun districts have been notified by the city milk committee that the milk department will commence the delivery of milk and cream in .that vicinity on Monday, September 4th, and that it will be Unable to supply vendors with any further milk and cream from the depot after September 3rd. As a protest .against this decision, a petition Was forwarded to tho‘ council by the local Ratepayers’ Association Urging that the step is an unnecessary one at the present juncture. The association states that the district is exceptionally well supplied by local men, and that .the supply is in every vray .satisfactory, the milk being of good quality, and. clean. The association asked the council to reconsider the case and give the men fair play. After some discussion the matter was referred to the milk committee for consideration. .. . . . .
