NATIVE IN TROUBLE
TH EFTS FROM SHOP TILLS. A native named Timi Piti, 24 years of age, appeared before Mr W. G. Riddell, S.M. at the Magistrate’s Court yesterday on a charge of stealing the sum of £1 4s lOd, the property of Mary Stuart. A further charge of stealing £l, the property of Ada Mary Russell, was also preferred against the accused, who pleaded guilty to both counts. In asking that Piti be remanded until Monday for sentence, Senior-Ser-geant Lander explained that the money had been stolen from the tills of various shops in Adelaide Road. Accused was accordingly remanded for sentence until' Monday.
