EUROPEAN SITUATION
AMERICA IN CONSTANT TOUCH. HOPEFUL OF A SOLUTION. Australian and N.Z. Cable Aseociation. - WASHINGTON, August 29. The White House has announced that the United States, though very informally, is keeping constantly in touch with the European economic situation, and is awaiting the time when it will be ffble to take a more formal and active part in the readjustment. It is indicated that no immediate move on the part of the United States is contemplated, but eventually a way will be found by which the United States can offer relief.
