MAYOR OF TE KUITI
RE-ELECTION OF MR. HIKE. vxa PRESS ASSOCIATION. TE KUITI, August 30. Air Hine, who was recently charged with a technical offence under the Municipal Corporations Act, and waa consequently compelled to resign the Mayoral chair, was returned to tho office at a special meeting of the Borough Council last night. The actioE followed the receipt of a letter from the borough solicitor, who incidentally happens to be Air Hine’s business partner, terminating his solicitorship, thus permitting Hine to 6tand again, as he is no longer “interested” within the meaning cf the Act-.
