,— LAQIES’ CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS OF PLAY AT MIBAMAR. Ideal weather conditions prevailed yesterday, when the first round of the Miramar - ladies’ ' open championship, stroke and bogey handicaps, was played. A large number of entries was received, the games were of an interesting nature, and excellent golf wae shown. OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP. The championship comprises three rounds, which are being played in conjunction wilth <the medal competition. The best cards returned were: —Miss Gambrill 84, Miss Withers 83, Miss Carter 92, Miss Bell 96, Mrs Marchbanks 96, Miss McClure 96, Miss Flux 97. Miss Donner 98, Miss WSidop 98, Mrs Guy Williams 99. MEDAL HANDICAP. The best scores were: Gross. Ho’p. Net. Mies Gambrill 84 2 82 Miss McClure ’96 14 82 Mias Carter 92 10 82 The three competitors mentioned will play-off to-day. JUNIOR DIVISION. Gross. Hc’p. Net. Miss Banks 100 23 77 Miss F. Duncan 99 22 77 Miss Duncan and Mies Banks will play a deciding round this morning, BOGEY HANDICAP.
