1620 INCHES OF “HANSARD.” ON ADDRESS-IN-REPLY. The Government Party had taken np no less than 1620 inches of “Hansard” on the Address-in-Repiy, stated Mr J. Edie (Bruce) in the House of Representatives yester lay afternoon, yet Ministers complained of waste of tune by the Opposition. (Laughter.) Mr A. Harris (Waitemata): The Government Party is three times as large as any other party. (Laughter.) Mr J. A. Nash (Palmerston North)! How much did you occupy? The Opposition, replied Mr Edie, had occupied 1240 inches only. (Hear, hear, and laughter.) Something should he done, he contended to get the work pushed through more expeditiously. All these trivial little matters should not he treated as noconfidence motions. Mr Nash: How would you vote? (Laughter.)
