COTTON TRADE
IN MOST DEPLORABLE CONDITION. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, August 21. Mr Walter Gee, in his presidential address to the United Textile Factory Workers’ Association, said the cotton trade was in a most deplorable condition, and there was little hope of a full recovery until the exchange fluctuations ceased. The operatives were worse off than before the war.
