STREET STALLS
CLEARING AWAY REFUSE. Street collections sometimes cause the municipal authorities trouble owing to the necessity of clearing away rubbish left over from the stall's. The cost of removing the Tefn-so has meant the payment of a good deal in the way off ovee-ti-me, so the Corporation proposes to get over the difficulty in future by asking that the promoters of street days shall put down a deposit of OS before, granting permission to take up collections. If the places where stalls have been situated ate left dean and tidy at the end of the day, the deposit will be refunded; in the alternative the money will go towards paying the wages of tne men called upon to clean away the debris:
