HUTT HOCKEY CLUB DANCE

The Lyceum Hall, Lower Hutt, was on ifete last Monday evening, the occasion 'being the dance of -the Hutt ■V'alJey .’Hockey Club, -which was largely attended by an enthusiastic gathering of members and (guests of the club. The hall looked charming, with its decoration -or native ferns, lycopodium, etc., and was hung overhead with streamers representing the oil'.b, a colours, which work was 'ably carried out by Messrs E. Jen ness and Bennett, representatives of the club. The floor ef the hall was at its best, and 'the ballroom enthusiasts appreciated the dances Bet for the (occasion to the accompaniment of Mr F. Pilcher, under the direction of Messrs Barton -and A. 'Ginger as M.C.’s. _ The chaperons _of the evening were Mesdames Teagle, Eddie, Ginger, Harman, Johnson and Barry, .and the success of the evening was due to the gentlemen’s committee of the club, ‘comprising Messrs C'. ’Bennett, G.
