MEETING OF MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. The weekly meeting of the management committee of the Wellington Football League was held in the Trades Hall last evening. Mr Keegan (chairman) presided over the following delegates :—Mesrs Henderson, Ponder, Duncan, Goodall, Burke, Martin, and C. T. White (secretary). A letter from the New Zealand Council was read, stating that a conference of League referees would be held in the early part of September.—lt was decided to eond a local referee to the conference, which is to be held in Auckland. Permission was 'granted ithe Petone Club to play the following matches (interclub) : —Third-class, against Federal (Christchurch), at Petone, on August 26th: seniors against Richmond (Auckland), at Petone, on September 16th; juniors against Richmond juniors, on September 16th, at Petone. Permiesion was subject to the senior game to he played on that date provided no representative match is to be played on that date, and it was further decided that Petone should be asked' to try and arrange an earlier date if possible. FIXTURES. SENIOR. Potone v. Newtown, at Petone, 3 p.m.; Mr J. Mears. Central v. City, Emerson street, 3 p.m.; Mr C. Wrack. JUNIOR. North v. Rovers, Stop Bank, 1.30 p.m.; J. Mears. Central v. City, Emerson street, 1.45 p.m-; Mr J. Duske. South v. Newtown, Miramar, 3 p.m.; Mr L. Campbell. THIRD. Federal (Christchurch) v. Rovers (Petone), Recreation ground, Petone, 1.30 p m : Mr J. Goodall. The secretary was instructed" to write to the Addington Club (Christchurch) asking if it is possible for them to play m Wellington on September 2nd. Failin .g, this visit, a town v. country match Will be played. Mr J. JVtears was elected to go to the New Zealand Rugby League Referees’ Conferonee, at Auckland, to commence on September 18th.
