A VISIONS ASSAULT
MAXIMILIAN HARDEN ATTACKED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received July 4, 9.30 p.m.) PARIS, July 4. Advices from Berlin state that two men clubbed into insensibility Maximilian Harden. One arrest was made. Maximilian Harden is a German journalist and politician,’ and founded the “Die Zukunft,” A paper which has n very large circulation. In pre-war days his criticism of the Kaiser twice brought him into conflict with the law, and he was sentenced for lese majeste. During the war, Harden wrote some unpalatable “home truths,” as well as bitter attacks on Germany’s opponents.
