HUTT COUNTY
VACANCY QN COUNCIL. W. I. LIMB'RICK ELECTED. A poll of Ratepayers of the Paliautanui, Par errata, Plimmerton, and Pnkerua ridings was taken yesterday for the purpose of filling the vacancy on the County Council. The successful (candidate was Mr William Isaac Limbriek, who polled 181 votes; the only other contestant was Mr Charles Stuart, who received 97 votes. Two informal votes were recorded. The polling at the four booths is shown as follows:
Mr Limbriek has therefore been returned to fill the vacancy. _ For many years he was Mayor of Waipawa, and he has also been a member of various other local bodies. Mr J. W. Oudby was the returning officer.
