HIGH COMMISSIONERS CABLE. The High Commissioner, under date July Ist, cables:— Casein—Present quotations are: French, £63 to £72 per ton. Hemp—Manila easier, with sellers JulySeptember shipments quoting* "G" grade £34 per ton, "J” 450 per ton. New Zealand market quiet, with little offering for shipment. Nominal value, highpoints £3O per ton, fair £29 per ton. Honey —Market quiet and steady, New Zealand light amber quoted at 82s 6d to 84s per cwt (B|d to 9d per lb), medium amber 70s to 75s per cwt (7£d to 8d per lb). Fruit —Still a large portion of Australian fruit, in poor condition, on hand, and prices unaltered. Balance of Zealandic consignment is meeting- fair deinland, but condition bh reported by buyers is verv wasty. Present market prices are:—Jonathans, 4s to 10s per case; Stunners, 10s to 13s per case; Rosewoods, 12s per case; London Pippins, 4s to 12s per case; Statesman, 6s to *lls Per case; Delicious, sound 10s to 13s per case, wasty 4s to 7s per case; Spitzenberg, 53 to 89 ppr case; other kinds, poor lots 5s to 7s per case,, sound fruit 10s to 13a per cose. Eggs—Market quiet, demand checked by higher prices:—Irish, Etnglish, Danish and Dutch. 16s 6d to 21s; Chinese, Rns. sian, and Hungarian, 11g to 14s.
