THE HOME MARKETS BUTTER AND CHEESE. The Department of Agriculture ihas re ceived the following cablegram, dated l9t instant, from the High Commissioner, London:— BUTTER. Market not quite so active. Prices somewhat irregular and fluctuating. Present quotations are:— New Zealand—July Ist, 228 a to 230 s per cwt (2s o£d to 3s per lb); June 24th, 2249 to 230 s per cwt (2s to 2s o£d. per lb); June 17th, 196 s to 200 s per cwt (Is 94 to Is per lb). Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house, under date of the 30th ult. Butter—Since our report under date of June 29th, prices are lower;; 6s for New Zealand (now 2305), and 43 for Danish (now 2265). Cheese —New Zealand coloured 100 s, white 102 s, a reduction of 4s. Forward buyers are not operating on account of present 'high prices and uncertainty of the future.
