LEAGUE FOOTBALL
MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. The weekly meeting of the W.R.L. wae held in the Trades' Nall, Vivian street, last evening* Mr N. Bourke presiding. There were also present: Messrs Maxtin, S. Henderson, W. Duncan, J. ‘Jack* eon, J. Stock, G. Foote, A. Buckland, S. White (secretary), A letter was received from the New South Wales Rugby Deague stating that the Australian University team would only play in the Auckland; district, and expressing regret that the team would bo unable to play in Wellington owing to shortness of stay in New Zealand. It was decided to accept July 15th as the date for the Hawke's Bay v. Wellington match, to bo played at Napier. A. Whittington wae granted a transfer from the Central Club to the City Club. The fixtures for this Saturday will be the same as last Saturday.
