BRITISH IMPORT DUTIES
DECLINE IN YIELD OF TAXES W RECENT YEARS. Mr Hilton Young recently wrote in reply to Captain Wedgwood Berm that the yield for the vear® ended March 31st, 1920, 1921, and 1923 of tho new import duties imposed by tho Finance (No. 2) Act, 1915, amounted to £3,361,902, £5,480,950, and .£1,698,056 respectively. The amount received under the German Reparation (Recovery) Act up to May sth, inclusive, la £4,350,000.
