WAR RELIEF

EXPENDITURE FOR YEAR. The statement of finances for the month of May, presented at yesterday’s meeting of the War Relief Association executive, showed an excess of expenditure (£894 13s lOd) over income (£3Bl 9s 3d) of £513 4s 7d. Replying to a question asked by Colonel J. Pow, the secretary (Mr A. O. Leach) said he estimated that, after making all allowances for incoming moneys, the association would have to spend this year another £SOOO out of the capital account.
